Video Card/ OS compatibility

Im upgrading my computer... and I was wondering if purchasing a video card that had a os support for windows me and above would mean that I absolutely had to have windows me or above?

or is it jus a suggestion?

I currently have windows 98 SE.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Means the drivers they supply with it will probably not work with your OS. You MIGHT be able to find some created ones but this is highly unadvisable. Upgrade your OS to 2000 or XP.. Or buy a video card that supports 98

Yeah; 2000 is good but XP would be advisable.

I still havn't got around to installing XP lol, my computer is running perfect at the moment!

Haha; when when you do on that particular CD you have - download SP1 and SP2 from Microsoft Downloads in the Full Network Downloads version and put it on CD. Then don't go on the internet until you have installed both Service Packs on the Machine - cause that CD is Pre-SP1 which won't stay working for long enough to download the Updates required to make it safe anymore.
