trying to connect to home computer

I am trying to connect to my home computer from another computer that is not on the same network. I am trying to connect from work is that possible. If so please reply with the process

I have file I would like to access when I am not in country because I have a very hectic job that travels alot

try Virtual Private Networking ill gie you more info if you'd like... also theres such a thing as terminal services.... microsoft.com should ahve info about it
