right...i have about 150 bucks for HD 100 - 150 for RAM case is separate..so about 250 for CPU/mobo other parts i have

1: Will 2.0 ghz be good enough?
2: Do i need a good mobo? I mean like as long as it supports 1 - 2 gigs of RAM, a good hard drive and the 2.0 CPU...that should be all i need right? nothing special?

2.4 or something is good. Ye a nice mobo, if your running it all the time and a rock solid psu that wont die after a week on 24/7 power
