i want to get meself a AMD 64 bit processor.

i am short on dough, so i'm gonna get a 2800+.

does anybody know how well this overclocks, and whether i would have to buy the mobile version?

Theres a mobile version?? Lol. I don't think anyone knows how well they overclock, LK needs to sort himself out!

Just built another AMD64 3000+ on an Abit M/b, CPU was at 78 degrees. Crap board, got an Asus and it's fine and O/C to 3400. Still not as good as my Intel but not too shabby.

With my old gainward 4800SE it scored over 13000 on 3dmark2001 and played doom3 great!

you are not going to enjoy DOOM3 if you do not have a video card with lower then maybe 300 to 400mhz.
