Norton anti virus problems.......

Just recently norton wont load, wont update and wont allow me to scan for viruses let alone open the program. when i boot up the icon in the taskbar appears but then soon dissappears. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, but nothing gets better, has anyone expierenced this problem and is there a fix?

Get rid of it, go get Mcafee it's 10x better and cheaper.

Yeah i've expirienced the problem but I don't remember how it worked again. It started working on it's own. My guess is you have a virus on your computer that targets antivirus software. If anything you try doesnt work (antiviral programs) then format it. But try ever other possiblity first. You don't want to format your computer a lot. It's not good for it.

Lol formatting doesn't hurt your computer where did you hear that. It does it more good than harm it clears all the crap that accumilates.

get AVG for free from www.grisoft.com kill Norton and throw away the disk so annoys me LOL
