it all depends on which room..... definatly no carpet int eh bathroom.. tile all the way on that one..... and the kitchen too.. I had a house where it carpet was in teh kitchen

my parents house has carpet int eh dang bathrooms and it will rot overtime it will make th wood rot!!ewww...
