Will this Video card run the Newest games? dont know much about computers :(

oh one last thing before i buy one ive narrowed it down to 4 that look good and i was wondering should i buy the one with the highest clock/memory speed?

1)400/700 --- geforce 5900xt
2)500/740 --- go with this one? radeon x600 xt
3)378/676 --- ATI RX9800PRO
4)390/800 --- or go with this one? its a geforce 5900xt

those have the highest but dont know if there the best

nope that doesnt mean anything if i were to choose out of those i would go with the 5900 xt you can get one for $170.

the 6800 is probably a bit too expensive for you. The pro will run the games the best but its a little more expensive.

No no no! Not the XT its a crappy budget version in Nvidia terms. Get the normal or ultra version of the 5900, or the x600.

your better off getting the 9800 pro or a 6800

9800 pro = decent performance, low cost.(at least compared to the newer ones) 8 pipelines

6800= excellent performance, higher cost, by like 80-90 USD. 12 pipelines. this performs near or better than the x800 pro.

i forgot how much money you have available.

was there a point in telling me that?? and about wondering which one will dominate HL2, i've heard rumors that the ATI's are supposedly better than the Nvidia's.

apparently, you think that i am biased towards ATI, wonder where u got that impresssion.


and enzio, u sure u gonna go towards the 9800 pro???? Can you tell me how much ur willing to spend??

a 9800 pro is good, but no good for future investment.

and if ur really bent on going the 9800 pro, get the MSI 9800 pro. It's a 9800 xt in a 9800 pro box. same core, same mem.
