log on problem

Can anyone help me?

Hi all can anyone help me,
I am running windows XP and everytime someone using the computer logs on under their specific user name, only the desktop background appears. There are no shortcut icons, the start bar is missing and you cannot right click. the only way a programme can be accessed is by opening the Windows Task manager and clicking new task. This has become very annoying and means trying to work is very tricky and time consuming.

Sounds like you need to format and reinstall windows bro. Usually I wouldn't recommend this at first but it sounds totally screwed.

Well try to go into safe mode and run anti virus and spyware software. Sounds like you just have some viruses.

Or when i loads up go to the task manager and choose new tak and type in explorer.

Mmm. Possibly a virus but if he's suffering visual problems it sounds like a reinstall is in order, possibly dodgey display drivers?
