problem with "local disk c:"

I recently downloaded a copy of hoyle casino which I ended up deleting. Now when I go into my "my computer" folder, the "local disk c:" icon changed to the type of typical program icon which looks like a white page with the upper right-hand corner dog-eared. When I click it, a pop-up box appears that is titled "program not found" instead of my local disc c: contents as it should. It says that windows cannot find hoyle_casino.exe - this program is needed for opening files of type 'file', Ofcourse, it wants me to locate the file to open it. When I right click and click "open", the folders and icons for local disk c: do appear. When I right click and look under "properties" it says that the file system is an "NFTS". Is that what it should be? Any help with getting my "local disk c:" situtation back to normal would be appreciated.

NFTS jsut like FAT32? Anyway, dunno if its possible but try getting into its properties and change its target to c:

Errr, also try getting into your program files folder and just delete every trace of that casino crap.

isnt NFTS the newer type of HDD? Where it can cope with files larger than 4Gb or something...I get the option to choose fat 32 or NFTS when i format anyway so i dont think that is your problem - i have a 40Gb fat 32 HDD and a 120Gb NFTS and had no problems.
Have you deleted all the registry files?

nope. NTFS isnt the newer type of HDD.

its a filesystem.

fat32 was..well it was lacking in some things. like permissions. and the ability to deal with large files that were becoming increasingly common. (dvd iso's etc..).

i dislike NTFS, this is 100% because its not very well supported (whereas any OS ive ever used can read/write fat filesystems fine)

here, have a link to a comparision of the two:

Bluto I seriously doubt that every post that you don't understand is a college joke.

Cbud, If you have an NTFS file system then you must be running either windows NT (quite unlikely) Windows 2000 or windows XP, in the case of windows XP you can boot from the original installation disk and select to repair the installation, that should fix the problem.

It says that windows cannot find hoyle_casino.exe - this program is needed for etc.
Of course you deleted it didn't you.Wasn't that what you wanted to do ?
So of course Windows can't find it.What do you expect ?
You or the Hoyl installation created a desktop shortcut to play it.Now that you have either uninstalled(recommended) or deleted Hoyl,
Delete this bug on the desktop.Drag it to the Trash.
