1280 by 1024 Screen Resolution!

I use 1024 x 768 on my 17 in crt....but I'm going to be getting a 19 in LCD flat panel very soon, so that might change....lol

You can get practically 2800 by 2800 on the new Apple 30incher. It needs 4 DVI Connections - two for the top half and two for the bottom half.

that is some serious monitor right there.....

Lol - I was on my sister's computer sorting it out on Monday and it was at 1024 by 800 and that was terrible! It was so big! :D I really want 1600 by 1200 but I think I'll need a new monitor, and a new graphics card. :D

you have a 19" monitor and it cant do 1600x1200? What brand is it.
By the way upgrading your graphics card wont effect much. You already have a nice enough card to display things. Its Intel IGP's that you have to worry about. Any ATI Nvidia card that was made the last three years or so should perfectly fine on any nice montitor out today.

I personally have a 17" running at 1280x1024 its at 60htz and it looks really nice. When i bump it down to 1024x768 things just look aweful. Everything is so big. How can you look into 19" of splendor at 1280x1024.

Also most semi nice 19" run optimally at 1600x1200 so things might look better at that resolution.

This is a very old Packard Bell I got from a friend which must be about 6, maybe 7 years old. It won't go any higher on the Graphics Settings and Windows won't even let it go over 1024.

But yeah, a normal 19inch should do 1600 by 1200. I should really buy one :D. if I wasn't so cheap.
