I just got a Radeon 9800 for £35.50 no joke!

lol hey guys, i just got a radeon 9800 for £35.50 off ebay, no joke.

Built by ATI, all looks good, except, its sold as not working lol, description said it was working fine then one day it wouldnt POST.

I'm going to try these proceedures to try and fix it, tell me if i should edit/add/rearrange any.

1. See if it works without fiddling - Probably won't
2. Install a PCI Video Card
3. See if it boots up windows with both PCI Card and the 9800 in, see if windows recognizes the 9800 and installs drivers.
4. Test

5. Reinstall video card bios
6. Mess with Bios settings (PC)

7. Check forums lol

Anyone got more suggestions as to what i might want to try? electronics knowledge would also be useful!

Card doesn't work in my or other computer, couldn't flash bios because computer didn't recognize card, now installing a PCI card...

The card should give a display no matter what. drivers arent involved at boot.

Looks like an expensive ornament i'm affraid.

At least you could post a picture of it on the forum.
