Why is xp slower?

Have you tried a recent virusscan or tried using "adaware 6.0" ?

I use AVG6 which is updated daily, and scans each and every morning, it also has a resident scanner that works constantly.
I've also tried Innoculate IT by computer associates
Mcaffe anti virus
Norton antivirus
and FreeAV
(latest version of all)
None of them can access the protected files because the folder and contained files are protected at OS level and the programs excecute at user level.

shockingu, id recommend you upgrade your ram if its a big problem? 256mb of pc133 is gonna cost you around tenner off ebay, what you think?

Lol i havnt visited PC world in years, ebay is 10x cheaper and you dont have to leave your house and deal with 2bit sales people who dont know what mhz are. (not saying all are like that but i have had my own experiences )

I didn't mean that - I meant the little PC Shops you'll find in corners or in old houses. Those sort of shops need to be helped.

Lol - because thats my local. Other people use that to refer to their pub, I use it to refer to my local PC Store.
