Hey, I feel like an idiot asking this, but I can't find my icon file. I want to change my desktop image its getting boring.

P.S I am on Windows 2000 Professional

Thx,
GMD

Right click on desktop, under one of those tabs you can change your background.

No, I know that, LOL, I am not the ultimate noob using a computer, what I want, is to change my icons picture, Example: My computer Icon, change the picture of it.

For the Computer/Recycle Bin/My Documents/Network Places/Internet Explorer Icons: Control Panel -> Display -> Desktop -> Customize Desktop -> Click the Icon -> Click Change Icon and find the icon on your computer. That will change it.

I said I was looking for my icon file....... and I also wanted to change the way my desktop looks like.

LOL, but sorry if it wasn't clear enough thought.

Bluto try and keep the threads going, don't jsut steal them away to msn ;)

I'm not sure if this is the same for 2k, but on XP if you right click the icon, click properties, and then go to the shortcut tab, there is a button that says change icon. Click that and pick the pic you want
