I went and visited my Mother about two weeks ago and I am still stumped on this problem.
She has Norton Anti-Virus and about 3 months ago she called me saying that her live update doesn't hook up to the server anymore.
When I was there I verified it. Then I went to www.symantec.com and nothing...I get a 404 not found.
I brought my McAfee with me and did a scan...and nothing. I used the web-based McAfee scan...and nothing. I was finally able to update Norton for her but through a backdoor. I had to go to www.sarc.com and finally http://sarc.com/avcenter/download.html to download a update manually.
Even when I click on download from www.sarc.com it put me to http://www.symantec.com/downloads/ and got a 404 not found, I changed the addres to www.sarc.com/downloads and that worked fine.
Has anyone ever heard of this problem?
