I do have NERO, I just don't know how to copy a DVD to a VCD/SVCD without the error messages, it's always telling me about unsupported formats.

I'm probably skipping a step, can someone give me directions on how to copy a DVD to a VCD using NERO?

Hmmm - Nero isn't really for Ripping anyway. And formats aren't compatable between Video CD and DVD anyway.

You'll need to find a DVD Ripper - something like XDVD - then write the avi to a VCD.

It's more hassle than it worth and with 8 speed dual layer dvd writers at £53 and 4x disks at £7 for 25. why bother with VCD's

Thats a point - I have been wondering about getting a Dual Layer DVD Writer.

DVD Writers, especially normal ones, are so cheap now.
