hey i was jus wondering if anyone knew what the nv part of nvram stood for? i know that the ram stands for random access memory but i just can't figure out the rest of it.

New Variety Random Access Memory :p

I don't know; but its so old and useless now the bloke who named it is probably too senile to tell us why he named it NV.
