hiya all

hehe i plan on buying a new mobo as well but i didnt want to rush in with 50 questions to the forum :) Im a noob to mobos so i have no idea which one to get. my limit would be $100 on the motherboard

im searching around newegg.com what should i be looking at to tell that it will support the processor?

if you are getting an athlon xp 3200, then make sure you get a socket A motherboard.

between those two, get the aopen one. it has the nforce 2 chipset, whereas the soyo has the via chipset. the nforce 2 is much better. my old motherboard is via and i have had problems with compatability. i had a soundblaster live 5.1 and it would not work right with that chipset. they release patches and fixes for it but none of them worked for some reason. so yeah, the aopen one is cheaper, and it looks to be better from what i can tell. it'd be best to wait for someone elses opinion though.
