Its sad that all these games are forcing gamers to upgrade to the latest hardware each time something new comes out. Not everybody has the capability to do so, especially students. Kudos to the producers of Everquest 2 for ensuring that older systems can still play the game withour too much trouble.

They're not forcing anyone - they just want to make a game for the best that is out. If it doesn't work on their computer; they're not forced to upgrade - they just bring it back and get their money back. You'd be moaning that graphics aren't good enough in a month if most games lately were backwards compatable.
