K, its really annoying not be have been able to find an answer. Good luck with it. Won't take too long for them to send back a replacement will it?

yeah, the monitor and both video cards work

Then you don't have a problem.right.
Check your Control Panel/Power Options.Unless you have battery backup shut them all down.
