XP Hates Windows

Hello everyone,

Ok, so now my XP system is royally screwed up. It seems like XP just swats every window that pops up. The auto-run screens? Whap, they get knocked out. I tried running ipconfig.exe and it was just knocked back into non-existence. I don't have any popup blockers. What is going on and how do I fix it?

format will usually sort out this kinda problem...

Don't format instantly if you dont have all useful data backed up.

But... If you cant get into any settings windows it doesnt seem likely you can fix it... maybe just a fresh OS install would help.

Yeah; just format it and reinstall. Always does the job.

a format will no doubt, fix any software problem, but try everything else first. I think that should always be a last resort, especially since you only install xp three times from one disk.
