333/400 Fsb

I am decided to take the plunge and buy a 2600+ AMD Athlon XP (1.92GHZ). It runs at 333FSB, but the motherboard i want, (http://dabs.com/uk/channels/components/motherboardsandaccessories/productView.htm?quicklinx=2QP7) Runs at 400FSB. Is that ok to run them together, do i adjust the FSB in the bios or anything? Or just leave it, or is it not possible to do atall? Please help me!

As longs as the sockets match (don't know what socket Athlon2600 is so I can't tell you) then they'll work.

yeah, socket A board and socket A processor... i assume that'll work!

Yeah; it will then. It'll just put the FSB at 333 on its own without you doing anything. Good luck with it!

you may also just want to check on your first boot that it is set properly. enter the bios on your first boot and check to make sure the CPU is running on a 166 mhz bus (166 times 2 is 332)
