is that pretty good? i only got about 450 to spend total. any help is appreciated. thanks

Yeh, thats pretty cool for a first build. You might wanna get a graphics card if you intend to play some good games, but it think your motherboard has inbuild graphics. If you've not realy experiemented with touching your pc in the slightest, id read a few tutorials on the net. try googling some things :D

my mobo has a video card onboard (Integrated with Real 256E 3D Graphics controller, support 64MB Max shared memory)
but if thats a P.O.S then what do you think is the best one for under $60 ?

it depends. im gonna be playin alot of games so do you think the built in one will do it? in a review a person said "plays half-life perfect at high-res with onboard video " but i dont know

Onboard graphics are ok for everyday stuff and some gaming i will give you an example....one of my compaqs has onboard Nvidia geforce mx 64mb
graphics i tried GTA vice city and it ran it very well to be honest but when i tried a first person shooter....... think it was one of the second world war thingys it was horrible........choppy frame rate etc.

personally if your gonna play half life etc stick a proper graphics card in your agp slot you will thank yourself later.

I have to admit though onboard graphics are getting better but they will not compete with a true agp card because they use system resorces and they distract the cpu from running the game because it has to control the graphics too.

alright. thanks. what kind of video card would you reccomend? and remember im on a budget. lol. thanks

how much do you have just for video card?

a good 128 mb would cost at least $125 USD probably more
