Ok guys thort i would pick your brains

starting at the beginning My step daughter had the Downloader Small Virus on her pc.

Checked the registry and that was ok.
Ran ad-aware deleted every thing.
Scanned with AVG 6 PC was clean.

But when she trys to open her IE it says that she is offline
Neither can she sign in to MSN Messanger

But she can go into Outlook Ex and retrieve her Emails & Can go into Kazaa.

So thort better safe than sorry best format she is running WinXP and was going to load Win98 SE.

Tried to format and got to where it loads Diognostic tools and it said that "Windows 98 could not find a FAT32 Partition"

So loaded Partition Magic 8 and made a new FAT32 partition

And when i tried to load Boot Magic that i have used before it would not load because there was no FAT32 partition.

So whats going on with this PC Guys

Is the HDD Knackered

You can't format running Windows. The files to do it get deleted "then what".So where are you now ?
You need a system disk, with fdisk and format.com.
Forget about all those 3rd party thingys.
 :D
