HP ze5400 ... Didnt power on..

I have an HP ze5400 laptop that I could not power on for any thing. I took the battery out, and just left the power chord in. That worked, and I was able to start the laptop. I shutdown, and put my battery back in, and it works now.

Any ideas what the problem could have been? I shut down a couple of times, and it works fine now.

Maybe it was just put in wrong originally, or wasn't quite straight.

Doesn't really matter now anyway - as long as it works.
