Anyone know how to format the modern hard drive?
I've got three copies of Windows 2000 and none of them work so I'd like to just clean off the whole hard drive and start over again.

Restart in DOS ... then enter "format C:" without the quotes - a warning will come up saying "Warning! All data will be lost!" .... just press Y or enter and it'll wipe your HD of all data. :)

you need a boot floppy.

if you dont have one do a search on google for windows 9x start up disc

you can download it from there

or if you know someone with a computer running windows 98 etc get them to make you one.

First you have to Fdisk and remove the Primary partision.
If you still can boot to Windows,go to
Control Panel/add/remove/Windows setup
and create a boot or what i call a system disk.
Leave it in and restart, type fdisk.
