hi would be greartfull if anyone can help im having sound probs all im getting is what sounds like interferance comming though ive been into the sound settings but on the sound page the level is set to low and it all dull i cant move it it looking like it not reconising the sound card as far as i can make out but dont know how to fix it thanx to anyone who can help dave

Do you have the Drivers for that Sound Card? If not, go to www.DriversGuide.com and see if you can find it; then just roll back the driver in System, and reinstall it.
Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager -> Then go to Sound, and double click your Sound Card (it won't start with 'Legacy' or end with 'Codecs'), then click Roll Back and then reinstall if the Driver you downloaded has a Setup File which it is likely to have.
