Dvd Rw & Cd Rom Drive

hi .. i recently installed a new case for my comp so I had to take out everything from my old case including the motherboard. When I installed everything only one my cd rom drives work and its my regular one too. But my DVD RW says disk might be corrupted or the format is incorrect for the cpu. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! I have a vaio PCV-RS310 o yea everytime i restart my computer my dvd rw opens automatically meanin the disk thing slides out so i have to push it back in again.. HELP!! and it keeps blinkin 2 times then stops 2 times then stops.! HELP PLEASE!

Relax,
You can do without a burner fo a few days.It obviously is getting power and you connected eveything as before.Master/Slave.I hope.
Does it have a drive letter in My Computer ?
If so can you read a cd ?

How did you keep the DVD Drive while you were doing everything else?

i left it in the case... then i juss took it and transferred it to my new one.

Now where getting somewhere.You have it recognized by Windows.
It's not unusuall not to read cd's in a burner or dvd,depends whats on them.
You have to just Play around a bit.Try a false i want to burn a cd.
Put in a blank and run your software,I hope it's Nero and Nero Express.
