Who thought of it first? Allow the people who invented it to name it; its called Football. A funny shaped ball game is Rugby. If you invent it - name it whatever you want - but if you can't then call it what it should be.

Lol; I like to think that Britian is the last resting place of chivalry. America are the people who killed Chivalry. That and the Germans who in their wars killed off all the upstanding British Men and Women leaving only the dregs and some few good people.

But thats only my opinion! Which is generally a little extreme.

Yeah this shouldnt be narrowed down to hockey, this topic should be widened to 'ball games', well except that type of balls if you know what I mean.

Soccer is definitely more popular than hockey, in fact its the most popular game worldwide goodluck with your hockey haha
