printer problems

Hi, I have an Epson laser printer (Actionlaser 1500).
It has been great for a lot of years.

Today I tried to print a small document but all I get is cryptic characters like: ?9<:

It was printing ok till yesterday.

I tried to reset it several times and I even re-installed the driver.

What else can I do to get on the paper what I see on the document on my monitor?

Have you tryed the new drivers for there site.

When that happened to my Inkjet I had to get it out and clean the heads - which annoyingly are built into the Epsons so I had to take it apart!

I don't know how it is with the Lasers.

They don't last forever,maybe you need a new toner thingy.
This isn't a reset and install problem,just old age.
Here today,gone tomorrow.

How old is the Printer?
