primary master and slave are messing up

The way i see it

You have 2 ide connections.I think hardrives should be Primary Master.
C drive and Windows.
2nd hd Secondary Master,
CD's as slaves,works for me.

What W ver is this ? Use selective startup,Mine takes 10 seconds or less.
I'll bet Scandisk and Defrag take forever.

Impossible.My other post seems to have vanished.
A cold bootup should take about 10 seconds and has nothing to do in the bios.
I wish folks would forget it exists for these problems.Especially if it was ok yesterday.
