Hi again!

At work with have got 19 P.C's (18 running win 98 SE and 1 running win 2000) networked together on a peer to peer network, every now and then 1 of the p.c's will "lose" the network connection and be unable to see the other machines, the only way to get the network back is to restart the p.c is there any other way of reconnecting to the network?

Thanks

Michael

Actually, the problem is Windows is designed to have a max of 10 p2p connections. If more than 10 connections are made to a shared directory, it will either drop an existing connection or deny a new connection.

If you are going to have a setup of more than 10 workstations, I recomment you move to a Clietn/Server design. (If you need help doing this, just let me know)

One other possibility

Each PC must be set to "Network server"
This is done in sysdm/performance/file system.
