folders in win2k pro workstation

i created a user in the active directory. when i login in the workstation, i can locate my folder in the "c:\documents and settings" directory. i am wondering, why is there another folder named "c:\documents and settings\myusername.msdom\"?

Don't know about that. I haven't seen one before. What happens if you delete it?

i can delete it because its my account, but i have 2 folders already, "c:\documents and settings\pemorej\" and "c:\documents and settings\pemorej.msdom\", where "msdom" is the domain name that i will logon to. we're using one domain only, so when i logon, i can access the folder with the "msdom" but i cant access the old one.

The old one is when you logged on to the local machine using the same username as you are now on the domain. If you want to remove the 'pemorej' folder then right click on 'My Computer' -> 'Properties' -> 'Advanced' tab -> User Profiles Settings Button and delete the profile that you are no longer using.

That should remove the 'pemorej' folder from the Documents and Settings.
