Need a help with e-store script

should I start with? Are there any pitfalls that I should be aware

Do you have hosting already and a site? You will need some sort of billing script and a system to accept credit cards. Other than that I can't really say since I have not done it.

What language are you wanting to use? Or you can also check with the CC processor you are thinking about using, they usually have one as well.
