Well the problem with free-hostings is primarily the fact that if someone is going to provide you with a free service free of charge, they have to make money somehow. Ussually through advertisments, ok here's a great example; I was with an organisation called Brinkster.com, they gave me a free web hosting for about 2 years without adds, then I got this e-mail stating that they had been providing a free service without adds for 4 years and they were going to put adds on my site. so everyone with Brinkster gets used to having free host and a CERTAIN DOMAIN without adds. all of a sudden they now have adds, and if you move, you lose the domain, if you stay you get advertisements.

Yes thats the problem. They need to make their money somehow and usualy through banners.

Ok I did try brinkster and I didn't like the service cause of pop ups ads and etc
