A new computer worm is reeking havoc.
It's being called "My Doom" or "Novarg" by anti-virus companies.
It shows up as an e-mail error message, with a small file attached.
When the file is launched on computers running Microsoft Windows, it can send out one-hundred infected e-mails within thirty-seconds.
The worm was first noticed yesterday and quickly clogged networks with thousands of e-mails.
Infected file attachments include the extensions ".exe," ".scr," ".cmd," ".pif," and ".zip."
If you receive an e-mail from an unfamiliar sender containing one of these extensions, or containing the text... "This message contains unicode characters and has been sent as a binary attachment," delete it immediately.
Anit-virus software can help prevent infection, and Microsoft offers a patch for its outlook e-mail software to warn users before they open some attachments.

Wow, I haven't had anything yet.

No. I haven't had anything either. But all my mail comes via a SPAMCOP account which filters virus and SPAM and then forwards it to a POP account for me.
Then I keep my firewall and virus checker on auto update. So typically, I'm OK. I've only actually received 1 virus since using this setup.

MyDoom Worm Mutates, Keeps Spreading
Can you believe it? MyDoom is still spreading—and now it's been reverse-engineered and a new variant has been released into the wild. If you're connected to the Web, it's almost guaranteed that you've received worm-laden e-mails. There's more than just the worldwide infection going on in the Doom-space, though. The worm is scheduled to start attacking SCO's Web site on Sunday, but it appears to have started early. SCO's not happy—they've offered a bounty to track down and indict MyDoom's author—and it ain't chump change either. Keep up on all the MyDoom developments with our ongoing coverage.
Internet Explorer Vulnerable Too
With all the Worm hoopla, you might have missed another major security liability uncovered this week. A huge hole has been discovered in Internet Explorer that could let an attacker hide the extension of a file download, masking a virus or spyware file as a movie, song or PDF, for example. While Microsoft works on the fix, be careful—you're at risk! We've got more details in our report and we'll let you know about a fix as soon as Microsoft releases one.

Girls he might disapoint? :D
Turning the HTML Code on would be dreadful - bad enough on a Forum that doesn't have all of its users as Mad Genius' but on here the things that could be done would be terrifying. Even vBulletin recommends you don't turn HTML on.
