Ok, I found a credit card genereator online, I wouldnt use it cause its stupid and worse than downloading games i think, but if someone was using it could the police or FBI catch them do you think? It has a cc validating tool also, so I guess when ppl enter a number to see if its valide it steals the number. People are so bad these days, lol.

I think most times if you try to buy something with that it won't go through.

Other than that, they can trace your IP...

It wouldn't work because you'd buy something and not be able to ship it to yourself because billing and shipping almost always has to be the same address.

Good point shipping and billing do usually have to be the same. What if you were signing up to something online?

(I'm just really bored tonight so I am asking things)

heck, i wouldn't be supprised if half of those are set up by the police or FBI.

No...not for most places. What if you want to send something as a gift??

lol, my friend told me that more and more ppl are being caught illegally using limewire. Is this true too? If I use limewire is there a risk that I will be caught? Same with torrents?

freestyler105

They usually only target the uploaders, not the individual downloaders.

March 30th, 2007, 02:14 AM
I see, I wonder how much money companies loose because of torrents... with online and serial numbers its starting to stop I bet, like Bf2142 can play online without a valid serial number, I mean... how would I know, lol.

Well, the thing is, when I download things, if they're good I tell my friends about them. Who buy the product, then go on to tell more people about it.

Generators are not able to detect what name is used with that number, this makes them virtually useless

I agree with you .. I think its set up by the police or FBI ..

no, generators are used for testing sites that u made to sell stuff to people. its to see if the algorithm is working properly

Still kinda scary tho isnt it.Gotta be a pretty sick individual to want to rip someone off like that. One of my mates got scammed outta £2000 on her cc.

This is why you shouldn't record information about stuff like this.

In situations like this, the less you know the better.

not necessarily, my parents billing and shippping are different, they have business cards though, so maybe that's why
and ive tried using one of those, for a validation, some stupid website wanted credit card validation for content, like a game website, sooo stupid...

Yes they were shown on BBC's "Breakfast" this morning the reporter was standing outside one, apparently they have quite a few stores in England
The parent company in America has been sued.

When you say generate codes do you mean it generates the long number plus cc and start date etc? the long number is based on the luhn formula which is not too hard to generate

I read a book about this. Credit Cards are easy to fake and get free things online with. All you do is generate a specific code for each credit type, i.e Visa, Mastercard, American Express etc etc. It's just an algorithm. Once you crack that you can make a fake credit card, put a set limit of how much you can spend on it, and boom, go shopping online. Online eTailers don't do the same security checks that stores do, they just check the code, verify it, process the order, and ship. This is why online fraud is so easy an abundant.

A spokesman for TJ Maxx said yesterday that he was "pretty sure" that purchases made in Britain won't be affected.
