I have no clue. Maybe some people have that grudge all the way back from the Revolutionary War? Americans fighting against Britsh for freedom. Don't know. I don't have anything against English or anyone else for that matter. Just regular people to me.

Hmm, over the Internet people don't have a race or colour so i'm not really sure about what's happening with your situation. Generally, i've never really seen a problem with racial tension over the internet.

What gets me in history class is how those British Redcoats just stood there in their neat little lines like good soldiers while the Americans were strategically hiding in the bushes or whatever and pulled a "head shot" on all of them. Man....talk about slaughter.

Well....
Most countries don't like us at ALL you see. Some of it is because we are exploiting it's peoples, and some of it is because of the past, and some could be personal. Then again, it's xbox live. It's usually a bunch of cheapos who just have an xbox or pretend to be English. You can't really know they are english. I can fake an english accent pretty darn good for being comepletely American, so I dunno. But I think alot of it is political, and economical. You wouldn't really think that since we are fighting the war for the same reasons (oil IMO). I just think there is alot of useless hate going around.

Actually I think it was a mircale we won. I mean, yea we knew the terrain, but most of our soldiers were pirates, jail birds, rejects, and rednecks.... lol Plus, the British were the best trained military in the world. I'm not saying you're wrong but I know we had alot more disadvantages that I'm aware of. I know these things because one of my family membors fought in the Revolutionary War. I have teh leet haxors!1one

Um err gee um where do I began.
1. Bush
2. Iraq
3. All men are created equal expect you, you, and um you, o wait thats not all is it??
Um the american from my exp is narrow minded and ignornat of the world around him. Now with Iran bush won't make the same mistake twice he won't give iran 3 months notice such as in iraq. But the world is scared bush is going invade iran also. Frankly bush needs to go back to his ranch and stay there for the remaining time in office that way he can't miss anything more up. He has already swerced the world over enough. And yes the avg american is an idiot.

I think Arrisz has it all sewn up, [bitching] & he's American, but don't look upon him as a traitor, he's correct up to a point, me?, I'm British, I like them, perhaps because when I was in my early teens in the war, I lived for some years a few miles from Alconbury, a USAF base, they were everywhere in the small market town of Huntingdon, giving us kids gum & candy, up the road, about a mile, the US ran a prisoner of war camp, we use to go there to get a glimpse of the Germans, as kids would, & frequently saw them, some "jerries" still in field grey uniform, cap & high boots, fresh in, not kitted out yet! we were thrilled at seeing "real" Germans, daft kids, we were too young to u/stand the gravity of war.
On one visit visit a US guard on the gate said he didn't eat candy, telling us three to come again the next day, & we could have his months ration, which he did, boxes of it, Dime bars, Hershey chocolate, & Wrigley's gum, how's that for generosity, & some airmen befriended families, one came to tea at my gran's & gave her butter, cheese, etc. our ration was 1oz of cheese & 2oz of butter a week, if there was any, mostly there was only margarine, not like today's it was in a block, & had no taste, milk?; we had American dried milk, & their dried egg powder, we were lucky to get one egg a month each, what do you lot think now of "Yanks" as we called them them, of course there was the downside, pregnancies increased tenfold at least, some guys married the girl, but in some cases when they took them & the baby back to the States after the war, some of the girls returned, after living in poverty there, mind you, the majority were very happy, raising a big family in a good neighbourhood, comments on that arrisz [& others] ?

Its not really a matter of country vs country, Its a matter of Online trash talk.
People just say whatever they can think of to get a dig in, They think 'Hey hes got a southern accent' this results in "Bloody redneck go back to your trailer" or something of the sort.
Just people trying to find things to argue about

Wow I had no idea you where old enough to remember WW2, heh thats news. Well frankly WW2 was different then the current war, we actually had good reason to go into it. In fact we should of gone in 1940 even maybe 1939. But in this iraq war we had no reason to do what we did. And we are iggorant for that. Now we have scared the crap out of the Irainians and they are building nukes. They see themsevles surrounded by a western army that supset at muslims. My great grandma says the same thing about the soliders. They were nice, even though her eldest possibly is an american.

Its xbox live everybody talks trash. A little kid with a high pitched voice joins the game you make fun of him, somebody with a weird accent joins(in this case american) you make fun of them. Thats just how the idiots on xbox live are. That is mainly why I stopped playing it, even though it is fun to make fun of the 11year old who sounds like a female.

I remember the controversy over the french back during the War on Terrorism, how the US viewed the French as cowards. We even thought about renaming the french fried we have here to be known as "Freedom Fries" just to get rid of the french name. That controversy was dropped and we continue to call deep fried potatoes french fries to this very day.

Yep, I'm 75, my mind is 45, unfortunately my body is physically 85!!
I have a point about Iran, India, Pakistan & Russia have nuclear capabilities, what about them?
Atrocities; it was said that apart from WMD, Sadaam is known to have killed thousands, some, it's alleged, he had put to death by putting them live through a shredder, [sorry, if this offends some] so what about Mugabe's killings, & the wholesale slaughter in Dafor. [prob incorrect spelling]

Wasn't there an old law, that if the US Election went wrong and they couldn't decide who'd won, that they had 6 months to reach an agreement or else the UK would take control again?
Not that that would ever happen, but I do believe it was maybe a real law at one point or another.

Most countries hate America because of it's youth and young adults. At least this is what i think. Our morals have become so bad it's crazy. You have one guy thinking he's all that and a bag of chips, plus tax, and then another guy thinking he's all macho and rich because Daddy busted his arse to make a living and ended up rich.
The youth, the music, and the way peopel portray themselves is a very good cause for them to dislike you. Then you have our liberals...don't even get me started on them.

Hey, Maurice, post a pic!
Wish I could, of all the things I have mastered, having started using a computer very late in life, [I was 60 something] one of the few things I can't do is put pics onto CF etc, emails to friends, yes, I just go to My Pictures, pick a saved one, & insert it, otherwise no, I have Fast Stone image viewer, & Nero, but still can't manage to, several members have tried to help by by "talking" me through the process, but there must be a mental block, for an old guy, I do well, but not with this!http://smilies.sofrayt.com/^/aiw/dont-know.gif
